LAK Mobile Youth Work Saxony e. V.

The Landesarbeitskreis Mobile Jugendarbeit Sachsen is the umbrella and professional association for the fields of mobile youth work/streetwork in Saxony. We are the point of contact for member organizations and practical projects for advice, further education and training as well as networking within the fields of work. We are in constant contact with politicians and administrators at local, district and state level in order to promote the interests of young people and to improve and strengthen the framework conditions for the fields of work. The LAK supports the model project ReMoDe (Regional and Mobile for Democracy), which is funded by the federal program “Demokratie Leben!” until the end of 2024: Youth work professionals in Saxony, are in contact with young people who share ideas of inequality, who express and behave in a right-wing manner and whose environment sometimes supports this attitude. The aim is to develop approaches for and with practitioners that expand the options for cooperation, offer certainty of action and promote changes in attitudes among young people.
